Kids for the Cure
5th Annual Kids for the Cure Lemonade Stand
Sunday, October 16th, 2011
The support we receive from Kids for the Cure is an outstanding example of the courage, leadership and dedication of our communities’ youth. The funds raised this year will be dedicated to support the Cancer Navigator Program at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Donations from this year’s lemonade stand have generated nearly $14,000!
On November 15th, the Kids for the Cure group proudly presented nearly $14,000 to Sister Abby Newton, St. Joseph's Foundation Vice President and Donald J. Wiley, President & CEO of St. Joesph's Medical Center at the Foundation's Board of Director's meeting.
The donation will be directed to the Cancer Navigator Program at St. Joseph's. The Cancer Navigator Program is a free program to help anyone newly diagnosed or experiencing a recurrence with cancer to navigate through the tests, procedures, treatments and support issues that follow a positive biopsy. The Cancer Navigator offers referrals and support with educational, practical, emotional or logistical issues. For more information abou these services, visit the Cancer Navigator page.
